Our Beliefs

Who we are

We are a church passionate about the Word of God and about proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a family-oriented, friendly, Bible-based church, we would like this to be an open invitation to come and see for yourself if Victory Baptist Church is a place you can call home.

What we believe

  1. The absolute accuracy of the Word of God, the plenary verbal inspiration of Scripture, and the Christian's rule of life and practice.

  2. The total depravity of man through the fall of Adam.

  3. That Satan is a person, the author of sin and cause of the fall, that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man, and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.

  4. The One True God manifest in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal in all things as eternity, omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience.

  5. The virgin birth of Christ, His absolute sinlessness, and the complete justification of the believer in Christ.

  6. The present assurance of salvation, and the eternal safety of the genuine believer through the keeping power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  7. The ordinances of the Lord's Supper and Baptism by immersion to be observed by the Church in the Lord's absence.

  8. Salvation by grace alone through faith.

  9. The efficacy of the blood of Christ, apart from which there can be no salvation, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His present enthronement as our advocate.

  10. The immediate entry into hell of every person dying without Christ, and the immediate entry into the presence of Christ at the death of the believer.

  11. Separation from sin and the world by the Christian, and a Godly life to the glory of God.

  12. That the Church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age, and that the establishment and continuance of local churches clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures.

  13. The rapture of the Church at the coming of Christ, to meet Him in the air. The revelation of Christ, at His coming to earth, to set up a personal, literal reign over the earth for one thousand years.

  14. We do not believe the gifts tongues is for today, but for the Jews only in the immediate time following the resurrection of Christ until we had the entire revealed Word of God.
